About The Project

Rempstone Village Hall was refurbished during the COVID pandemic and sought to increase bookings and raise awareness of its new look and fantastic facilities. To achieve this, we designed a bespoke WordPress village hall website that showcases the hall’s features and makes it easier for the community to engage with the new space.

Standalone Entity for Enhanced Visibility

Originally part of a village website, the committee was keen to create a standalone entity for Rempstone Village Hall. We used WordPress to craft a bespoke village hall website that highlights the hall’s unique identity and facilities. This standalone site aims to improve visibility and accessibility, encouraging more bookings and community use.

Aesthetic and Functional Design

The website’s design incorporates a traditional sage green, a chalky off white, and a historic grey green colour palette, creating a visually appealing and cohesive look. The aesthetic is complemented by the use of the English Grotesk font from Adobe, giving the site a classic yet modern feel. This thoughtful design ensures that the website not only looks great but also effectively communicates the hall’s charm and functionality.

User-Friendly Updates and Support

To empower the committee to manage the website independently, we created instructional videos demonstrating how to update and edit the WordPress site. These videos were uploaded to YouTube on a private link, allowing the committee to refer back to them whenever needed. This approach ensures that the website remains current and relevant, with the committee equipped to make changes easily and confidently.
