About The Project

Woodbridge Community Hall, a well-established venue in the picturesque town of Woodbridge, needed a functional upgrade from its outdated self-built website. Our solution was a modern WordPress Community Hall website design that is easy to navigate and user-friendly, tailored to meet the hall’s needs.

Coastal-Inspired Aesthetics

Inspired by the hall’s proximity to the sea, we chose an inky blue as the primary colour for the WordPress Community Hall website design, complemented by neutral whites with hints of grey. The logo was crafted using the Source Serif Pro font, paired with Sofia Pro from Adobe, to create a sophisticated yet welcoming appearance.

Empowering the Committee

To ensure the hall’s committee could manage the site independently, we created instructional videos on how to update and edit the WordPress Community Hall website. These videos were uploaded to YouTube with private links for easy future reference, empowering the committee with the tools needed for ongoing maintenance.

Client Review

From the community hall chairman

We engaged Wingnut to design a replacement website, they did so fast, skilfully and at a reasonable fee. The result was a huge improvement. Response to comments and questions was almost immediate.

What you need to know

If you already have a logo and the content (words and pictures) to go on your new community hall website, it will take approximately two weeks to build. A new logo will take about a week if starting from scratch and would need to be done first, as this provides the colours that will be used on your website.  We often find that writing the words to go on a community hall website often take longer than expected but we would provide guidance on this.

Technically speaking you don’t need a logo for a community hall website.  That said, a professionally designed logo looks fab on a website and can really help you look credible.  We can help create you a new look with our logo design service.

We’ll provide full instructions on how to edit the words and photos on your community hall website as part of the build costs.  For major changes, we can provide a very competitive quote.

With over half of all internet browsing and searches done with a mobile phone or tablet, it is vital your community hall website works on these devices.  A properly designed community hall website should do just that and change its appearance depending on the screen size.  All of our community hall websites work on all devices.

Websites are quoted on a basis of how much work needs doing.  A very basic community hall website would start at £499. We know we are not the cheapest but strongly believe we provide a solid product, backed up by excellent customer service (see our reviews).

As a full service community hall website design company we provide a comprehensive range of hosting solutions for community hall websites.  As well as hosting we can also look after email accounts for your community hall.

.

Photos are key to making your community hall website look good. Visitors are more likely to contact you if you have good quality photos. Investing in a photographer will pay dividends in the long run, as well as providing you with photos for any printed material or social media posts.

To get found, your community hall website will most likely need to be on the first page of Google or Bing.  This will require your website to have some search engine optimisation carried out on it.  All of our community hall websites have the on-page SEO done while being built.  You may need off-page SEO after the website goes live to get the best result.  We can help with that too.

Absolutely, reviews are invaluable for a community hall website. They build trust by providing social proof, reassuring potential customers about the quality of your venue. Positive reviews can also boost SEO by adding fresh, user-generated content, which helps improve search engine rankings. In a competitive market, showcasing authentic feedback can set your site apart, attract more visitors, and ultimately lead to higher conversions.
